Pawfect Appointments Terms of Service

Last updated: August 26, 2024

These terms explain how groomers and pet parents may use Pawfect Appointments, our booking portal, and the related tools that help run grooming businesses. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these rules.

1. What Pawfect Appointments Does

Pawfect Appointments is a software platform that lets dog grooming businesses publish availability, manage bookings, send confirmations, and collect customer information. We are not a grooming provider and we do not control pricing, grooming quality, or policies set by each business. The agreement for any grooming service is between the grooming business and its customer.

2. Eligibility and Account Responsibilities

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into contracts.
  • If you sign up on behalf of a grooming business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business to these terms.
  • Keep account credentials secure and let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access at support@pawfectappointments.com.
  • Provide accurate, up-to-date information about your business, services, and availability.

3. Using the Platform

  • You may use Pawfect Appointments only for lawful purposes and in line with grooming industry standards (for example: safe handling of animals, fair pricing, and truthful service descriptions).
  • Do not use the platform to send spam, interfere with other users, reverse engineer the service, or upload malicious code.
  • You are responsible for the content you add (services, policies, photos, agreements) and for honoring commitments you publish to customers.
  • Any optional payment, messaging, or email tools are provided to help you operate but you remain the merchant of record for your grooming services.

4. Booking Requests, Payments, and Customer Communications

  • Booking requests placed through the customer portal are offers from customers to the grooming business. Businesses decide whether to accept, decline, or reschedule.
  • If you enable payments or deposits, you are responsible for complying with your payment provider’s terms, refund rules, tax obligations, and any card network requirements.
  • You must honor any cancellation or reschedule policies you post to customers through Pawfect Appointments.
  • We may send service emails and notifications related to bookings, reminders, and account security on your behalf.

5. Data and Privacy

We handle personal data (such as customer contact info, pet details, and booking history) as described in our Privacy Policy. You agree to comply with applicable privacy and data protection laws when using the platform and when exporting or reusing data you obtain through Pawfect Appointments. Review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect and use information.

6. Intellectual Property

Pawfect Appointments, including our brand, code, designs, and documentation, is owned by us or our licensors. You may use the platform only as permitted by these terms. You retain ownership of the content you add, and you grant us a license to host, display, and use that content as needed to operate the service and support your account.

7. Service Changes and Availability

  • We may update features, interfaces, or limits to improve the service or address security and compliance.
  • We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access; planned maintenance will be minimized.
  • We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or suspected misuse.

8. Warranties and Disclaimers

Pawfect Appointments is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that bookings will be free of errors or that customers will show up, pay, or comply with your policies.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pawfect Appointments is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the amounts you paid to use Pawfect Appointments in the 3 months before the claim arose.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles, unless your local law requires otherwise. The parties agree to seek informal resolution first; if unresolved, disputes will be handled in state or federal courts located in California.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as we launch new features or to meet legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, when practical, notify account owners. Continued use of the platform after changes go into effect means you accept the revised terms.
